Description: WTC DouchyTeam is one of the largest Cycling clubs is Ostende, Belgium. Their Website and Forum is an essential online resource which provides the facility for their wide range of members to discuss all different aspects of cycling in Belgium. I was approached by Edwin (The Site’s owner) who was a fan of my Absolution Style. Unfortunately, the bright glossy colours of Absolution didn’t blend with their dark site. I was asked to blend Absolution with their site design, and re-colour it to make it easy on the eyes. After just two days the style was integrated, blended and delivered.

Description: Pepsteam.com is a French Community for Sports Teachers across France. The board provides a facility for people to discuss a wide range of sporting areas including: Water Sports, Gymnastics, Athletics, Artistic Arts and Collective Activities such as Football, Basketball, Badminton and Tennis. Prior to Florian (Site Owner) getting in touch, they had been using phpBB’s default prosilver style with some modifications. I was asked to make a modern looking style whilst improving their old header. This style features a variation of the recognisable phpBB.com header, accompanied by random header images. Additionally, this was my first attempt at creating a French button set. Le bon travail!

Description: The Warez Life is a Warez Sharing community, sharing download links to thousands of downloads including Movies, Music, Games, Software, eBooks and Operating Systems. The brief was to create something light, glossy, professional and unique whilst making good use of a specific shade of blue. The style includes a javascript menu, quick login, statistic icons and shadow boxes around categories. I’ve been told by many that this is my “best phpBB3 Style”.

Description: EwCSquad is a clan site for the xBox 360 clan “Elite Warriors of Combat”. Their specialist game is Battlefield, specifically Battlefield: Bad Company. I had actually met their Webmaster (David) whilst giving Style Support on the phpBB.com forums – from there he asked if I was able to create a matching forum style to compliment their site. I have also done some additional work on the site such as MOD Installation, adding JavaScript menus (for logged in users) and re-styling an xBox live status script to match their design.

Description: ForumPromotion is the largest Promotion Community on the Internet. Following a successful spell of senior staff positions I rewarded the community with this brand new style, a vast improvement from the previous dark style. The style is regarded by many as “one of the best on the internet” due to its attractive colour scheme and unique elements, including: A custom viewtopic page, jQuery based “scroll to top”, PM warnings and other various features. I left site following a 6 month period as Administrator. The style was left behind as a gift to all those who appreciated everything I did in my 2 year venture there, even though they removed the copyright.

Description: Birdy’s Nest is a lively general chat forum, covering a wide range of topics including: Art, Motorcycling, Photography, Graphics and much more. I was contacted by Suzy (Site Owner) who felt their old default style was too feminine, and meant her site was missing out on potential guests. Following a few hours of discussion, I was briefed to create a blue generic style that would appeal to males who visited the board. Initially it was only intended as an alternative to the default, although following an overwhelming response from the community it was quickly set as the site default.

Description: GNN Central (fully known as ‘Gaming News Now’) is a site dedicated to bring you gaming news, fast. They have an active discussion community covering a wide range of topics from Gaming (over a variety of different consoles) to Graphic Design. They also have an Arcade and a shop users can use to trade their virtual points. I was asked to create a forum style that matched their Website design perfectly. They were keen to keep some of the recognisable features such as grungy borders and bright blue text. Following a couple of evenings of hard work, their new forum design was born.

Description: Graphics Hall was a successful Graphic Design community, intended for designers to show off their art and to give tips to those new to Graphic Design. Back in the day when my coding skills weren’t so great, I had made their forum’s light default style using an old-school table based layout. Several months later, I was again approached to create a dark phpBB3 Style from a .psd design. The dark revision made use of modern Web Standards such as tabless layout and sprite rollover images. It quickly caught on with the members and replaced the old default style.
